A few useful answers
Gift finder questions, answered.
A little clarity about where ideas come from, what the budget means, and what happens to the details you share.
How are the ideas picked?
Each gift in our small curated list has a price, recipient fit, occasion fit, and one or more interest tags. We give matches for your recipient and occasion a little weight, then favor ideas that share the interests you picked. No generative AI or outside service is involved.
Why did I get this suggestion?
Each idea includes a short “why” label showing the matching clue: an interest, occasion, or recipient fit. The match is a useful nudge, not a claim that we know what the person will love.
Can I see a different set?
Yes. Choose “Another set” to cycle through the next matching ideas. Change any of your selections and choose “Find my thoughtful shortlist” to start the list again with your updated clues.
Does the budget include taxes or shipping?
Prices are illustrative gift-price estimates in US dollars. They may change, and taxes or delivery can be extra. Always check the seller’s current price before buying.
Are these sponsored recommendations?
No. Gift ideas are curated and matched to your choices, not selected by sponsors. The labeled advertisement previews show planned display-ad space; no live advertising or affiliate scripts are active. Display advertising is separate from gift recommendations.
What happens to my selections?
Your choices and shortlist visibility are saved in this browser tab’s session storage, not sent to a server. They survive page reloads and navigation. Closing the tab normally ends the session, although browser session-restore features may restore it. If you choose to email us separately, your email provider sends that message; see the draft Privacy Policy for details.
